Description

The Djibouti 40 Francs banknote from 2017 was issued to Commemorate the 40th anniversary of Djibouti's independence from France. The obverse side features a whale shark swimming among coral, starfish, seashells, and seahorse. At the back is the Jubile logo, gantry cranes, container ships, a port, and an outline map of Djibouti. The note is 152 x 69 mm in size and does not contain any security threads however when placed under a UV light, an image of the country's national emblem is visible.
