Description
The Djibouti 2,000 Francs with a pick number P-40a was issued in 1997 by the National Bank of Djibouti to commemorate the countrys 20th anniversary of independence. The banknote is in blue, green, and yellow combinations and is in Arabic and French. The obverse of the note displays a camel caravan on the center, a young girl on the right, and rock outcroppings in the background. The back of the note features the Presidential Palace and a statue of a man holding a spear and a shield. The 160 x 80 mm paper bill bears a solid security thread and a watermark that consists of the coat of arms of Djibouti. This particular 2,000 comes in uncirculated condition.
